Maintenance
Artificial Turf Maintenance Guide
Because artificial turf is low-maintenance, not no-maintenance. This will help keep your lawn pristine, year-round.

Routine Cleaning
Weekly to Fortnightly:
Use a leaf blower or stiff-bristled broom to remove leaves, twigs, and debris
Always sweep with the grain of the turf to avoid bedding debris
Pet waste should be picked up immediately; rinse the area with clean water
Monthly:
Lightly hose down your turf to remove dust, pollen, and reduce static buildup—especially after dry, windy days
Pet-Friendly Tips
Rinse pet areas regularly to neutralize odours
Use enzyme-based deodorisers (pet-safe) for extra freshness
Avoid bleach, ammonia, or harsh chemicals—they can damage turf backing
Brushing & Grooming
Every 4–6 Weeks:
Brush the turf using a turf rake or stiff broom to lift flattened blades
Vary your brushing direction to reduce wear patterns (we recommend sweeping against the grain to lift strands for new installations)
Focus on high-use areas (pet runs, paths, play zones)
Weed & Moss Control
Weeds may appear at joins or edges—remove manually early
For persistent growth, apply a turf-safe herbicide
Moss in shady/damp areas? Use a brush or seasonal moss-killer (or turf-safe vinegar spray)

Preventing Damage
Keep BBQs, fire pits & hot items OFF the turf—heat can melt synthetic fibers
Avoid dragging heavy/sharp objects across your lawn
For spills: clean quickly with mild detergent + water
For chewing gum: freeze with dry ice or aerosol and gently scrape off
Seasonal Turf Tips
Winter:
✔ Turf drains well—no waterlogging issues
Summer:
✔ Turf may get warm—hose it down before use, especially for pets or kids
Periodic Checks
Every 6 Months:
Inspect all turf seams, joins, and edges for lifting or movement
Every 12-24 Months:
Re-top sand infill when needed to maintain turf cushioning and blade support
Checks may need to be done more frequently for high-use areas
Stain Removal Tips
Act quickly!
Use a plastic spatula to remove solids
Blot liquids with paper towel
Rinse with clean water
Cleaning Solutions:
Tea, coffee, milk → Mild household detergent in warm water
Tougher stains → 3% ammonia solution, rinse thoroughly
Oils, shoe polish, etc. → Dry-cleaning fluid (pH neutral) on damp cloth—use sparingly
